All but a few were published in the late 1960s at the peak of the political and cultural underground movements. Included is the “Berkeley Barb”, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin “Kaleidoscope” (including volume 1, no. 1), “Rat-Subterranean News”, “The Fifth Estate”, “The People, Yes” (TPY), “Haight Ashbury Tribune”, “Free Press of Louisville”, “East Village Other”, “Chicago Kaleidoscope” (including 5 issues of volume 1), “Los Angeles Free Press”, “Berkeley Tribe” (including the final issue), “The Dick” (volume 1 no. 1 with a poem by Michael McClure); “Guardian: Independent Radical Newspaper”, “Peace & Freedom National Organizer” (the August, 1968 issue with the headline “Cleaver Nominated!”) and many more. Most are folded as issued. Folio issues on newsprint. Condition ranges from “good only” with some splitting and aging to near fine copies. All but three issues appear complete without pages lacking.
