[Anti-War Poster]. Girls say yes to boys who say no. 1968. Large anti-war poster with Joan Baez and her sisters Pauline and Mimi. 42 x 29”. The poster was created in 1968 by Larry Gates and was sold to raise funds for the Draft Resistance movement. This poster utilized sex appeal to fight the draft, but had the unintended consequence of adding fuel to the feminist movement - this poster implied that the female contribution to the anti-war movement was only sexual, which was galling to most feminists. Small chip from an upper corner and slight wear. A-/B+.
