A Collection of 30 Early Feminist and Lesbian Underground Newspapers and Magazines. [V.p., 1970-72]. A group of 30 women’s liberation and lesbian underground newspapers and magazines. All published in 1971 with the exception of one title from 1970 and two issues from 1972. The newspapers include 8 issues of “Everywoman”, numbers 1 and 2 of “Lavender Women, A Lesbian Newspaper”, volume 1, no. 1- 5 of “The Feminist Voice” (2 copies of #4), 2 issues of “Pedestal, A Women’s Liberation Newspaper”, two issues of “Ain’t I A Women?”, single issues of “Come Out! A Liberation Forum for the Gay Community”, “Abortion, A Woman’s Right to Choose” and “Off Our Backs”. The magazines are volume 1, numbers 1, 2 and 5 of “Womenkind”, volume 1 no. 1 of “Black Maria: Chicago Women Speak”, volume 1, no. 1 of “Siren, A Journal of Ararcho-Feminism”, “Redstockings, Feminist Revolution”, “Notes (From the Second Year): Radical Feminism”, and “How Harvard Rules Women” published by The New University Conference, 1970. Penciled notes and some wear to the Redstockings title otherwise all remain in very good or better condition.
