WILLIAMS, Lorna (American, b. 1986). Birth Right. 2016. Mixed media sculpture. Assemblage of various found objects, raw wood, root systems, twigs, beads, shells, rope, plumbing hardware, electrical wire. Approx. 58 x 48 x 35". This work has a torso made of roots, branches, twigs and more. The assembly of the sculpture is not intuitive, and the work is fragile; as a result of its composition, sections of of wood are loose and some are prone to become detached from the work. The general figure of the body is as seen in photos. Due to the fragile nature of the work, the sculpture is sold as-is. Currently hanging in a skeleton crate from hooks. Provenance: Dodge Gallery.
