[ETHNOGRAPHICA]. Pair of Taiwanese Anthropomorphic Figures, a Pig and Lizard. (Taiwan, 20th century). Paint, gesso and wood. 30 x 6 1/4” dia. Surface dirt. Some paint and gesso loss. Wood splits on both bases visually evident. Split at back of figure for the pig. More minor split for lizard. Hand of lizard has fingers broken off and split separating the forearm is repaired. Unusual patterns and textures inherent.
