Photos depict scenes of war (some graphic), war dead, battle fields, camps, portraits of white and black soldiers, scenes of daily life, Confederate and Union infantry and cavalry, prisons (Camp Sumter / Andersonville Prison) and prisoners of war, and more. With images featuring Buford, Lincoln, and W.S. Hancock. All are annotated and/or stamped verso, with information about original photograph date, location, and collection. A few duplicates.
