[CUPS AND BALLS] PINELLI, Bartolomeo (1781 – 1835). Il Giocatore di Bussolotti in Roma. [Rome: Fabri], 1821. Handsome engraved street scene from Costumi Diversi Inventati shows an itinerant conjurer at the center of a crowd with the Cups and Balls on the table before him, nearing the conclusion of his routine. Laid paper with wide margins, 18 ½ x 22 ½”. A fine and deep impression of this classic image of conjuring in nineteenth century Italy.
