LYNN, Dr. (J.W. Simmons, 1836 - 99). Two Dr. Lynn Vivisection Handbills. British, 1870s. Including one for an appearance at the Brighton Aquarium in the company of two other acts. Lynn presents “Palengenesia, or taking a living man to pieces” with a change of program each night of the week; and a larger bill on aqua paper for “Professor Lynn” at the Karridale Hall, presenting the “startling vivisection scene.” This latter bill is for an Australian appearance of Lynn's son, J.W. Lynn. The larger 10 x 6 1/8”. Both with wear and short tears around perimeters.
