Crystal Ball Casket. Circa 1890. Oblong metal-framed box with glass sides and sliding lid, which is shown empty. On command, the box fills with brightly-colored cloth-covered balls, flowers, or other objects. Brass and tin, with black and gilt paint. 11 ½ x 8 ¼ x 8”. Good working condition. Nice example.
