COLLINS, Stanley (1881 – 1966). Stanley Collins’ Cups and Balls and Wand. Circa 1920s. Set of three brass cups of a traditional tapered design, for the “oldest trick in the book,” together with five small cork balls and a brown carrying bag with drawstring tie. Sold together with a handsomely made wooden wand with turned ebony and bone tips (one lacking) and striped with gilt and black paint. Cup height 3 ½”, mouth diameter 2 ½”; wand length 13 ½”. Owned and used by British society entertainer Stanley Collins, and passed to Edwin Dawes by Collins’ widow, Margaret.
