Ghost Show Luminous Plaques. Colon, Michigan: Abbott’s Magic Manufacturing Company, ca. 1966. Five hand-painted cards allow for the appearance of ghostly apparitions in spook shows or séances. Three single-sided cards bearing images of an open-mouthed wailing head, a hand, and a leering demonic face; two double-sided cards depict an ovular ring/star, and open/closed skeletal hands. White on black cards, the designs incorporating glow-in-the-dark paint. Includes original Abbott’s shipping envelope addressed De Vega (Alexander Mackay Stewart). Largest 10 x 7 ¾”. Light wear and aging to cards.
