Collection of 10 Lithographs from Les Maitres de l’Affiche. Paris: Chaix, 1896-1900. All with full borders and in protective mat boards. This series of “Masters of the Poster” was offered by subscription from 1896 to 1900 at the height of the full color poster revolution. This series miniaturized popular and artistic advertising posters, enabling collectors to maintain manageable copies of uniform size. Each plate is blind stamped by the publisher in the lower corner. This grouping includes plates #7 by G. Meunier, #30 by Guillaume, #26 by G. Manuel, #40 by H. Meunier, #51 by Forain, #80 by Toussaint, #84 by P. Fischer, #87 by Hazenplug, #138 by Ebels, and #172 by W. Bradley. Large folio, each appx. 15 ½” x 11 ½”. Generally very good.
