Bound in nineteenth-century half brown morocco over brown cloth boards, spine lettered in gilt (spine heavily worn, joints worn, hinges starting, endleaves soiled, title leaf and first leaf with repairs at top, some wear, soiling in text). Good. THE SCARCE FIRST EDITION of this political satire published during the English Civil War. The last few pages have a list of Wither’s writings. Lord Viscount Powerscourt’s copy with his bookplate affixed to the verso of the title-page.
