London: Chapman and Hall, 1848-49. 8vo plates and wrappers mounted into a 4to volume. With a total of 12 mounted engravings, being extra-illustrations for Dombey and Son and Barnaby Rudge. All 6 front and rear wrappers of the 3 issues mounted (plates approximately 8 ¾ x 5 ¼”; wrappers approximately 8 ¾ x 5 ½”; mounts approximately 11 ½ x 9 ¼”.) Mounted leaves on thick stock. Bound in a beautiful binding by Hatchard’s in full dark brown levant morocco, boards triple-ruled in gilt, spine paneled and lettered in gilt in compartments, five raised bands, gilt board edges and turn-ins, marbled endleaves, all edges gilt (some edgewear to spine and boards, a small spot of color correction on front board near top edge, some offsetting to free endleaves). Fine.
