New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1952. 8vo. 140, [2, blank] pp. Publisher’s full blue cloth, front board stamped in blind, spine lettered in silver, publisher’s unclipped (“$3.00”) dust jacket (cloth spine very slightly toned, endleaves a bit offset, glue residue from loose bookplate (present) on the fp, and faint offsetting from glue to front blank (apparently the bookplate was kept at the front blank; jacket spine very lightly toned and rubbed, light rubbing to jacket edges). A fine copy with vibrant color on the jacket spine. FIRST EDITION, FIRST PRINTING WITH SCRIBNER’S “A” AND THE REAR JACKET PANEL IN BLUE. Laid-in is the optical-illusion bookplate of Ward E. Guest.
