Uniformly bound in a contemporary full light brown calf, boards triple-ruled in gilt, floral cornerpieces, spine elaborately tooled in gilt, with red and blue gilt morocco lettering labels, gilt edges, marbled endleaves, front boards with a noble (royal?) heraldic stamp in gilt with an “L R” surrounded by laurel leaves beneath a crown, rear boards stamped in gilt with a horseshoe and cross motif surrounded by laurel leaves beneath a crown (binding worn, occasionally soiled, volume VI is dampstained). Very good.
