[HISTORICAL DISSERTATIONS]. An 18th Century Sammelband Containing 23 18th century historical texts. Germany (Wurttemberg?), ca. 1790s. Thick 12mo. Quarter bound in vellum over marbled boards, edges sprinked red. Hand-written Table of Contents, with hand-written tabs. 23 texts gathered into this sammelband, including, inter alia: (1) Quod Deus Bene Vertati ex Historia Civili de Henrico Pio Saxoniae Duce ac Misniae Marchione in Celeberrima Levcorea, Publice disputarunt praeses M. Gottlieb Bernsdorff, Schonwalda-Saxo, et Respondens Samuel Muller, Freib. Misn. Calend. Decemer. MDCXCIV; (2) Dissertatio Historica de Originibus Domus Wurtembergicae quam sub divinis auspiciis, Praeside Ludovico Iosepho Uhland, historiarum Prof. Publ. Ord., etc. MDCCLXV; (3) Q.D.E.V. Dissertatio Historica, de Phillippo Arabe Primo, ut videtur, Christianorum Imperatore, qua Locum, In Amplissimo Philosophorum Ordine beneuole fibi concessum tuebitur M. Jo. Georg. Neumann, Belticio-Saxo. -- and 20 additional texts of similar content, all in Latin. Seemingly compiled by a scholar at a German University (Wittenberg?) toward the end of the 18th Century, this sammelband is a treasure trove of German religious history. Some wormholes in front matter, not generally affecting text, else fine; tight, square, and clean.
