Fair. FIRST EDITION, LATER ISSUE; PRESENTATION COPY TO ONE OF HIS ILLUSTRATORS, ANTON OTTO FISCHER (1882-1962), INSCRIBED BY LONDON ON THE FFEP: “Dear Anton:- And under the frolic and the laugh I was learning my socialism. Jack London Glen Ellen, Calif., Nov. 13, 1911.” With a small (approximately 3 x 1 ½”) albumen photo of London in his characteristic hat affixed to fp. Despite the condition issues of this copy, it has a wonderful association (Fischer illustrated various short stories by London, including The Feathers of the Sun (1912), The Pearls of Parlay (1911), A Goboto Night (1911), and the book, A Son of the Sun (1912)).
