[OCCULT]. KENYON, Theda (1894-1997). Witches Still Live. New York: Ives Washburn Publisher, 1929. 8vo. Illustrated by Siegel. 379, [3, blank] pp. Publisher’s full black cloth, front board and spine stamped in red, spine stamped in blind, publisher’s unclipped (“$3.50”) dust jacket (minor rubbing to binding, bookseller’s ticket on the fp; jacket with tape repairs on verso and recto, spine toned, some tears, chipping, soiling, front joint nearly detached, later price sticker on rear jacket flap). A very good copy in a fair jacket. FIRST EDITION IN THE SCARCE DUST JACKET. With the ownership signature of “June Furlong” on fp. and title-page (it is unclear if this is the June Furlong, 1930-2020, who was the figure model and art collector, who famously posed nude for John Lennon, and talked him out of suicide after the death of his mother - she also posed for Lucian Freud, Frank Auerbach, and other artists).
