In addition, this trilogy is accompanied by the promotional pamphlet, His Dark Materials III The Amber Spyglass, which includes “The History of the Alethiometer.” [London: Scholastic, 2000]. This folding pamphlet is double-sided, and when unfolded (there is a central cut by the publisher so the pamphlet can be read like a book when folded) there is a large image of the Alethiometer. FIRST EDITION OF THIS PAMPHLET, SIGNED BY PULLMAN. His Dark Materials is one of the most successful young adult works in recent history, winning multiple awards, including the prestigious Carnegie Medal. It has been adapted for film and television.
