Oblong small 4to scrapbook (8 ½ x 11 ½”) filled with the fliers, advertising and calling cards, and advertisements of Black psychics, “spiritual advisers,” and astrologers working in the early 20th century. Over 50 items, some loosely laid in, most pasted onto pages and a few affixed with corner mounts. An unusual and rare collection of ephemera. Collection of Max Maven.
