Near fine. FIRST EDITION, SECOND ISSUE OF THE BOOK, AND DUST JACKET, INSCRIBED BY MCMURTRY ON THE FFEP: “For Matthew Larry McMurtry”. The error on p. 105 “skycrapers” has been corrected, as well as the errors on the front jacket flap. Laid-in is a small manuscript card, “Compliments of Bill Wittliff” (Bill Wittliff (1940-2019) was a screenwriter, who wrote, among many others, the screenplay for the miniseries adaptation of McMurtry’s Lonesome Dove; it is unclear who wrote this card)
