Illustrated. 358; [361] pp. Both in publisher’s full olive green cloth, front boards and spines stamped in black and gilt, one with stamping in brown, top edges gilt (spines sunned, some rubbing, light soiling to boards, front hinge of Wild Animals… starting and with glue residue on endleaves). Generally very good. Titles include: Wild Animals I Have Known (sixth impression), presentation copy, inscribed on the ffep: “To Mr. Russell Lord with compliment of Ernest Seton-Thompson Xmas 1899” and with a drawing of an animal’s pawprint; and Lives of the Hunted (first edition). Seton-Thompson was a naturalist and the founder of the Boy Scouts of America.
