BRADBURY, Ray (1920-2012). First Day Cover Signed for the “Viking missions to Mars” Stamp. Hampton, VA, July 20, 1978. Approximately 3 ½ x 6 ½”. Mild toning, else fine. Cover has two tone images of Mars missions. “For D. L. Staitowski [?] Ray Bradbury 9/6/83”. A charming Mars association with one of the primary science fiction writers of the twentieth century, and a man who worked with NASA during the unmanned exploration of Mars (one of the Mars Rover landing sites is named in his honor).
