HOFFMANN, Professor (Angelo Lewis, 1839 – 1919). Professor Hoffmann ALS. Dated January 25, 1882, Hoffmann writes to a Mr. Smith in part, “Dear Sir, Herewith I send for the “Pyramids" trick – I have been laid up for the last week & should have done so earlier." He goes on to describe a “effective" setting for performance and tries to arrange a meeting with his correspondent at his home. On one folding 8vo sheet of printed stationery for a London Window Blind manufacturing concern. SIGNED in ink, “Angelo J. Lewis."
