Coin Cork Gimmick. British 1890s. Ersatz wine bottle cork conceals a finely made spring-motivated brass mechanism. A coin vanishes from the magician's hands only to reappear – visibly and audibly – in a clear bottle resting on the magician's table. Thread-activated gimmick cleverly constructed; trap door at lowermost point of cork opens and closes when activated. Height 2 ½". Includes a period folding Crown Widow Head two shilling coin. Working. RARE.
