A near fine copy in a very good jacket. FIRST EDITION BOOK IN EARLY REPRINT JACKET, PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY CRISWELL ON THE FFEP: “for Cara Hataway prolific Criswell". Beneath the inscription is the following ink stamp: “This is the true signature of Criswell. Collectors have paid as high as $10 for an original autograph of this kind." Criswell (sometimes known as “The Amazing Criswell") was a celebrity psychic, who made several radio, television, and a few film appearances; perhaps his most famous appearance was giving the introduction to Ed Wood Jr's schlock classic, Plan 9 From Outer Space.
