SPROUSE, Stephen (American, 1953–2004). Birthday Card to Howie Pyro. N.d. Card to Howie Pyro, Los Angeles punk icon and bassist for D Generation, from Stephen Sprouse. Unburnt birthday candle wrapped in matching orange paper with “SPROUSE" written, attached via a safety pin and shoelace fitting well within the vernacular of the fashion designer's punk-styled works. Together with the original envelope with “HOWIE" written in thick black strokes. Envelope 9 ½ x 5 ¼" opened. Good and stable overall; some wear consistent with light handling.
