[“GAMY" (Montaut, Marguerite), artist and lithographer]. Trio of Automotive Pochoir Lithographs. Paris: Mabileau & Co., 1913. Color lithographs with pochoir enhancements. Sight of all approximately 15 x 30" and a bit larger. All matted and framed under Plexiglas. Frame sizes approximately 19 x 36 ½". Prints sunned, with occasional foxing, some faint creasing visible. Prints depict “Targa Florio 1913 (1050 Km)", a 2-man race car coming around a curve, and a road race with 2 cars visible. Montaut was a well-known printer and artist, who invented the use of “speed lines" and bending of perspective in order to indicate movement; she and her husband, Ernest, were the first artists to illustrate the heroic age of automobiles and aviation.
