Hanlon Brothers, The. Hanlon Brothers Silk Program. Double bill for the Hanlon Brothers at the Royal Aquarium, London, for the week of Jan. 11, 1890. They appear in on a 14-act afternoon bill with performing elephants and dogs, marionettes, and other acrobats. Framed to 34 x 26”. With documents related to the conservation of the program. The six Hanlon brothers were a troupe of British acrobats who integrated comedy and magic into their lavish productions. The brothers went on to produce lavish pantomimes and patented both stage scenery and illusions. This program may advertise an unauthorized version of the brothers’ act; by 1890, the Hanlons had settled in America.
