Both volumes bound without half-titles, and publisher's ads (except one page of ads in volume I). Bound in contemporary half brown calf over brown cloth boards, spines ruled and lettered in gilt in compartments, four raised bands, plain green endleaves (bindings worn, soiled, some occasional foxing in text). Good. THE RARE FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH OF BELLOT'S POSTHUMOUS MEMOIRS. Bellot was the second in command of Captain Kennedy's expedition in search of Franklin in 1851-53.
