A good copy in a fair dust jacket. FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY BY LINDSAY TO A CONTRIBUTOR TO THIS BOOK, INSCRIBED ON THE FFEP: “Dr. C. E. P. Brooks with best wishes + grateful thanks, from Martin Lindsay (scripsit) / 11.10.35". With Brooks' bookplate, signed by Brooks on the fp. Brooks contributed two scientific articles to the book. An excellent association. Lindsay, along with 3 men (not including Brooks), made a record-breaking journey of 1,200 miles across the Arctic.
