Uniformly bound in 19th century half blue calf over blue pebbled cloth boards, spines ruled in gilt, burgundy gilt morocco lettering label on spines, five raised bands, edges stained red (some wear, scuffing to bindings, hinges just starting, text with occasional mild foxing, soiling, plates foxed, frontispiece of volume I a bit loose). Very good. FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST OFFICIAL RECORD OF ROSS' SECOND ARCTIC EXPEDITION.
