ENLARGED EDITION OF “NOT BY BREAD ALONE," PRESENTATION COPY, INSCRIBED BY STEFANSSON ON THE FFEP. “To Clayton Griswold, and Mitzi [?], That they may long live and always on the fat of the land is the wish of their new friend Vilhjalmur Stefansson July 8/58". Above this inscription is a later gift inscription, presumably from Clayton: “To Katharine Griswold Bartlett from". An excellent inscription from one of the most important polar explorers of the 20th century.
