BEREZOVOY, Anatoly (1942-2014). 2 Copies of The Comte Henri de Lavaulx “Federation Aeronautique Internationale Prix Henry de La Vaulx" Medal Awarded to Cosmonaut Anatoly Berezovoy. [France: ca. 1983]. Rectangular bronze (?) medallions with “Federation Aeronautique…" on front along with imagery of an eagle, a plane, and a balloon; on verso is a relief profile image of de La Vaulx. Approximately 3 x 2". Fine. In original boxes, lined in silk and velvet. BOTH SIGNED BY BEREZOVOY ON THE SILK INNER SURFACE. This prestigious award was given to Berezovoy for his many achievements, including commander of Soyuz T-5, the first mission to the Salyut 7 space station (spending over 211 days on the station). After his career as a cosmonaut ended, he was the Deputy President of the Russian Space Federation.
