[MAGAZINES]. The Billboard Magazine. [Cincinnati, OH: The Billboard Publishing Company, 1907-43]. 4tos. Illustrated. 45 issues in original pictorial wrappers (generally worn, soiled, some issues with loose wrappers, some issues with brittle wrappers, some with ownership markings or notes). Generally fair or better. An incomplete, non-consecutive run. This run of issues spans from the Spring Special 1907 to the Spring Special 1943. Founded in 1894, The Billboard Magazine (now known as Billboard) is still published. Originally a media magazine, it began to focus on circuses and carnivals in the early 1900s until the 1930s, when it began to pivot to the music industry (today it is one of the primary magazines and news organizations focusing on music, video, and home entertainment – perhaps most famous for its “Billboard Charts," the bible of sales for the music industry).
