Two early circus woodblock prints. European, ca. 18th century. Including a print depicting a big cat suspended from a rope above a group of onlooking men, women, and children, some with arms outstretched. 14 ¼" x 14 ¾". Matted with acetate covering. Creases to sheet, toning, and areas of discoloration throughout and at the lower left margin. – (and) a wood-engraving depicting two armored knights on horses, one driving a lance into the other. A mounted herald, spectators and royalty watch on. Framed and matted, sight 12 ½ x 16 ¼". Creases and small punctures.
