[CARNIVAL GAMES]. Airplane-Themed Game with Metal Airplane. [N.p., ca. 20th century]. Small airplane built from thin metal with propeller (not attached, but present), built without wings. Airplane on a spring-attached wire. Airplane and wire mounted onto large painted wooden panel. Approximately 119 x 9 ½". With central wooden strip covered with small spikes onto which the airplane attaches when thrown. Wooden panel is painted with colors and various locations around the world (“Fly to Tokyo Rome Paris London India Egypt Hawaii N. Pole Berlin New York"). Some wear, soiling, scuffing, the spring-loaded clicker on the airplane needs repair. Very good. An unusual variation on the venerable “High-Striker" game.
