Illustrated with the scarce frontispiece of “The Wheel double Plow of Hartfordshire." 400 pp. Bound in contemporary full calf, boards ruled in gilt, spine ruled and tooled in gilt, in compartments, black gilt morocco lettering label, marbled endleaves (binding heavily worn, front board and ffep. detached, some toning, soiling, foxing to text, rear joint cracking, front blank and frontispiece are soiled at upper corner, ownership signature of “Thomas: Horner" on title-page). Fair. FIRST EDITION, ISSUE WITH “PRINTED FOR THE AUTHOR" (priority unknown with other issue), WITH THE EXCEEDINGLY RARE FRONTISPIECE (not all copies of this title were issued with the frontispiece).
