Bound in contemporary full mottled calf, spine tooled in gilt in compartment, five raised bands, burgundy gilt morocco lettering label, marbled endleaves (some wear to binding, joints repaired, some light toning, foxing to text). Very good. NOUVELLE EDITION (THE SECOND EDITION OF THIS IMPORTANT AND INFLUENTIAL EARLY BOOK ON THE TOPIC). And: “JUVENILE PYROTECHNIAN". Illustrated with beautiful fold-out hand-colored frontispiece. and several intertextual woodcuts of pyrotechnic equipment. 24 pp. Bound in modern quarter red morocco over marbled boards, later plain wrappers bound-in (some rubbing to binding, occasional faint foxing in text).
