Full contemporary dark red morocco, borders of covers decorated with blind roll, spine with five raised bands, gilt title, marbled endpapers (covers rubbed and darkened; later penciled marginalia, sketched map of the Holy Land on the front blanks). With a fine fore-edge painting with a scene of the Thames with Blackfriars Bridge and St. Paul's Cathedral.
