Near fine. FIRST EDITION OF THIS HANDSOMELY ILLUSTRATED TYPE BOOK. This book has an unusual group of ink notes on the front blank: “District Court of the U. S. Southern Dist. Of N.Y. / Keystone Type Foundry Vs. David S. Wynkoop [?] / In Equity No. 3-17 / Defendants Exhibit Bruce Specimen Book [illegible initials]." In 1916, Keystone sued Wynkoop for patent infringement on their patented fonts. The case was ruled in Keystone's favor. This book was apparently an exhibit during this legal case.
