BUSH, George H. W. (1924-2018). Typed Letter Signed. [N.p., January 12, 1998]. One 8vo page on personal stationery with presidential seal. Addressed to autograph collector, Daniel Z. Kreisman. Sight 8 ½ x 5 ½". Matted and framed under plexiglass with a color photograph of Bush. Frame size 17 ¾ x 21 ¾". Horizontal crease visible on letter. Fine. In this letter, Bush states what he felt was his greatest accomplishment as President. Bush mentions Desert Storm as “the most dramatic accomplishment." And then Bush writes: “However, the most profound was the ending of the Cold War – the unification of Germany and collapse of the Soviet Union. Maybe this latter was historically inevitable; but the fact that it happened so quickly and without a shot being fired is something about which my foreign policy team can be proud." An excellent, post-presidential letter. Not examined out of frame.
