Color photograph of Truman and his staff seated or standing, on board mount. Photograph 7 ¼ x 9 ¼"; mount is 11 ¾ x 15". Photograph very lightly faded, mount is toned. Fine. Signatures on mount, with printed place and date at upper margin. Signatures include: Harry Truman, Jonathan Daniels, William Bray, Captain Robert L. Dennison, Brigadier General Wallace H. Graham (USAF - Truman's personal doctor), Honorable Stanley Woodward, Honorable Clark M. Clifford, Honorable William D. Hassett, Senator Alben W. Barkley, Fleet Admiral William D. Leahy (USN), Honorable John R. Steelman, Donald S. Dawson, Eben A. Ayers, Colonel Robert B. Landry (USAF), Major General Harry H. Vaughan (Army Reserve), Leslie L. Biffle. Truman and his staff would vacation at his home (“The Little White House") in Key West (now a Presidential Museum - the only Presidential Museum in Florida) during several visits. General Graham had ordered Truman to vacation in a warm location, and this former Naval station in Key West fit the bill. Of note, the Department of Defense was created at this location in 1948 (called “The Key West Agreement"), the same year (different month) of this photo.
