1 Cent Horse derby tabletop racing game. [N.p., n.d., ca. 1890s-1920s]. Original octagonal wooden base with metal coin-slot, actuating handle, and lock (later key is included). Eight painted metal horses on a painted track with painted derby flags and metal gates (all original). When a penny is deposited in the slot and the handle is moved, the horses run around the track. With original glass dome with metal furnishings. Works beautifully. Approximately 15” high and 17” in diameter. Some wear, occasional soiling, scuffing, some moderate rust to some metal parts. A very good example of this rare larger version of this game.
