Albini, Herbert. Albini’s Own Egg Bag. Circa 1900. Red cloth bag that allowed Albini, who featured and popularized the effect, to vanish and reproduce, under test conditions, a white hen’s egg repeatedly. Together with a duplicate ungimmicked bag, both with original inventory tags from The Magic Circle collection; and a two-page holographic manuscript outlining the working of the trick, and a later explanation of Albini’s method published in Will Goldston’s Magazine of Magic in 1930. Bags approximately 9 ¾ x 8 ¼”. Originally in the collection of The Magic Circle, London. Sold in the club’s 1999 appeal auction.
