Appearing Magic Kettle. Los Angeles: John Gaughan, ca. 2004. The magician produces a handsome nickel-plated tea kettle from an empty foulard, then pours any drink called for from it. After a design of Carl Willmann. Diameter 8 ½"; 1" thick (collapsed). One of six examples manufactured by Gaughan. With mahogany carrying case and holder for six cordial glasses, with Ken Klosterman's name engraved on a brass plaque affixed to the lid Light wear to finish, but overall good working condition. Willmann's version of the Magic Kettle was described in the chapter “Old and New Magic" in the classic book Greater Magic.
