An excellent archive of material related to the hit stage play (written by Jeremy Paul), and part of its English run, INCLUDING: A FLYER SIGNED BY BOTH BRETT AND HARDWICKE, A FLYER SIGNED BY BRETT, 3 PROGRAMS SIGNED BY BRETT, 3 programs from different theaters, 2 cd's from the play, the final draft script (73 pp.), a color window card (10 x 15"), 5 contact sheets for the play, 227 black and white photos (a few in color, 4 x 6" and 5 x 7"). Fine. A wonderful archive. The Secret of Sherlock Holmes appeared at Wyndham's Theatre in September, 1988 and ran for more than 300 performances. It ran in other theaters as well through 1990. Brett had commissioned Jeremy Paul to write the play in 1987 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's first published Holmes story (A Study in Scarlet).
