Curtis describes the subjects in this image in Volume 4: “A particularly striking group of old-time warriors, conveying so much of the feeling of the early days of the chase and the war-path that the picture seems to reflect in an unusual degree ‘the spirit of the past.’” All proceeds benefit the Howard L.
