Collection of whist and other game markers. Including 12 Sutherland Whist Markers on cardstock doilies with rotating number displays. Minor rubbing, toning. Generally fine examples of these rare and fragile markers. [1855]. [And]: 18 elaborately decorated mother-of-pearl game markers for the game, Pope Joan. [Ca. 1700s]. Generally 2” and smaller. Many are carved into various shapes, including fish. A lovely collection. [And] 2 markers for the French game Bezique. [V.p., ca. 1860s]. One is on printed cardstock with 3 pointers, the other is gilt-stamped blue cloth with 3 pointers and a table of scores on the verso. Fine. [And] 10 whist score-keeping markers. [V.p., ca. 1870s-1930s (?)]. 1 wooden, 1 leather-cased, and 8 markers with rotating score keepers. Some general rubbing. An excellent group.
